1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the AirCraft mobile application for iOS and iPadOS. AirCraft is an offline educational app for learning about and experimenting with paper-aircraft design. It is not a flight-control, navigation, or safety service.
2. Information stored by the app
AirCraft stores the information you create or choose in order to provide its features. It is stored locally in the app’s private storage on your device:
- Aircraft project names, design parameters, calculated simulation results, and physical-flight records are saved as a workspace file in the app’s Application Support storage.
- Learning choices, lesson and quiz progress, completion status, practice evidence, and non-essential interface preferences are saved in UserDefaults.
- If you export a PDF, iOS asks you to choose a destination. The exported file is then handled by the location or provider you select, such as Files or a configured cloud-storage provider.
AirCraft does not send this information to John Su or to a separate AirCraft server. Your device or iCloud backup settings may back up app-container data under Apple’s platform behavior; those backups are managed by you and Apple, not by AirCraft.
3. Data collection and permissions
Based on the current AirCraft source code, app privacy manifest, and bundled dependencies, the app does not collect, upload, sell, or share personal data, device identifiers, usage behavior, location, contacts, photos, audio, health data, or payment information.
- AirCraft has no account creation or sign-in flow.
- The app contains no advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, telemetry, or tracking SDK.
- The app does not make network requests and does not use CloudKit, web content, or a remote backend.
- The app does not request camera, microphone, location, contacts, photo-library, Bluetooth, or App Tracking Transparency permission.
- The app privacy manifest declares no collected data types, no tracking, and no tracking domains. It declares use of UserDefaults solely for app functionality.
4. Tracking and third parties
AirCraft does not link data from the app with data from other companies’ apps, websites, or offline sources. It does not share data with data brokers. Therefore, AirCraft does not engage in tracking as Apple defines it.
AirCraft does not integrate third-party advertising, analytics, or social-media SDKs. It uses Apple system features only where required for the app to function, such as local device storage and the system document exporter.
5. Managing or deleting local data
- Delete individual projects from within the app to remove the related locally stored project information. The app retains at least one workspace project so that the workspace remains usable.
- Use Reset Study to remove learning progress. This does not delete projects.
- Delete AirCraft from your device to remove its local app-container data, subject to any device or cloud backup you control.
6. Support communications
If you email support, John Su receives the email address, message, and attachments you choose to send. This information is used only to answer or resolve your request, not for advertising or tracking. Please do not send sensitive information that is unrelated to the issue.
You may ask us to delete a support conversation by emailing johnyisu08@gmail.com. We may retain limited information where necessary to meet a legal obligation, resolve a dispute, or protect against abuse.
7. This support website
This website is a static support site. It has no account login, cookies, analytics, advertising pixels, social-media widgets, or third-party scripts. Its Caddy web-server configuration discards site access logs. Standard network services may still process technical connection data needed to deliver the page or secure HTTPS, under their own policies.
8. Changes to this policy
If AirCraft’s data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosures will be updated before or with the relevant app release. The effective date above identifies the current version.
